Asymmetric Monometallic Nano-dimers with Novel Optical Properties

Internship Description

This project is about the synthesis, characterization and applications of colloidal plasmonic metallic nanocrystals. We aim to fabricate asymmetric dimer structure in the nanoscrystal, such as a nanosphere grown on a nanorod.  Fabricating such an asymmetric dimer structure is of fundamental challenges but has significant implications for nanophotonics.  ​
