Carbon-based porous membranes for water decontamination

Internship Description

The project aims to graft nanoparticles onto carbon-based porous membranes and demonstrate their feasibility for waste water treatment, namely by removal of organic, inorganic and/or biological contaminants. A mechanically stable filtration membrane will be fabricated and characterized. The project focuses on the fabrication process and choice of the polymer matrix along with the nanocarbon filler containing previously loaded nanoparticles.
