Localisation of a Signal Source
Internship Description
Workshop Description
Mono-pulse is a popular direction finding
technique, which is employed in many operational radars due to its simplicity
and accuracy. In this technique the ratio of the difference and sum of the
signals received at different locations is found. This discriminant is used to
estimate the angle of arrival of the source signal. The mono-pulse technique is
sub-optimal and have narrow field of view.
In this project, wider field of view optimal techniques will be searched
to localise a signal source. The proposed technique will also be implemented on
the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP).
