Internship Description

​​In this project, the student will conduct numerical experiment to study the dynamic rupture and seismic radiated on fractally rough fault surfaces, using experimental results and high-performance computing enabled simulations. To goal is to obtain a better understanding of how small-scale fault roughness affects rupture-transition, high- frequency seismic radiation, and the space-time evolution of fault roughness in the presence of plastic deformation
