Spin-orbitronics in Anderson regime

Internship Description

This topic concerns the exploration of spin-charge conversion processes (such as spin Hall effect and spin galvanic effet) in strongly disordered materials using quantum transport calculations. In particular, we are interested in understanding how these processes behave in through Anderson transition, when the material transforms from a metal into an insulator.


Produce solid numerical results of the conductance and spin density as a function of disorder strength in two dimensional electron gases using the KWANT code.
Determine the scaling laws that govern spin-charge conversion processes at Anderson transition
